The International Women’s Club of Moldova (IWCM) is organizing its 20th annual Winter Charity Bazaar on Saturday December 3rd from 10:00 – 17:00 in the Pavilion II at Moldexpo. The 2016 Winter Bazaar is a wonderful opportunity for the local and international communities to have fun and raise money for local charities together.

Embassies, International Organizations, charities and local craft producers take part each year, making it a “one day round the world trip”, without leaving Chisinau. There will be entertainment and many opportunities to buy gifts, souvenirs and to try international foods plus there is the chance to win fantastic prizes in our amazing raffle. Many local companies donated great prizes too.

More than 6,000 people visited the event last year and, thanks to our generous sponsors, we raised $35,000 for local charities that help disadvantaged women and children. The goal of the Winter Bazaar for 2016 is to raise at least $40,000 to support as many projects as possible.

The annual Winter Bazaar is not only a major source of revenue for the club's charity work, it is a wonderful opportunity for the local and international communities to come together and share cultures and customs.

Many of the embassies offer special performances that highlight holiday celebrations in their countries.

It is also an excellent venue for non-government organizations and development agencies to introduce their work to the public and to market cottage industries.

In the past 19 years the bazaars have raised close to $300,000 for charity and have been a source of entertainment for thousands.
