Description
Holger Roonemaa is an investigative journalist from Estonian Postimees paper. He is also a coauthor at BuzzFeed News.
In 2018 together with colleagues he uncovered a Russian hidden propaganda campaign aimed at the Baltic States and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The propaganda network included Kremlin financing to seemingly independent media sites through proxy companies in the Netherlands, Moldova, Serbia and Cyprus; direct daily orders from Kremlin about mandatory topics to cover and monthly reports back to Kremlin.
Holger will talk about his journey in the third Freedom Talks meetup.

The talks are meant for those who want to break the pattern of silencing people in Moldova.
A 30-minute-talk by the guest speaker will be followed by discussion.
